01Tree Surgeon

Keep your trees healthy and safe

Our tree surgeons specialise in diagnosing and treating tree health problems. Whether it’s fungal decay, a pest infestation, storm damage or a weak fork, we work out what’s going on and what can be done to save the tree.

We assess each tree thoroughly, then recommend targeted treatment: corrective pruning, cabling and bracing, soil improvement, pest management or a long-term care plan. Where a tree can’t be saved safely, we’ll tell you honestly and talk through removal and replacement.

Preventative care is always cheaper than emergency work. Regular checks keep valuable trees healthy and stable for decades.

03Good to know

Why use a tree surgeon?

Tree surgeons diagnose diseases, find structural weaknesses and provide treatments that restore health and prevent hazards. Pruning, cabling and bracing help trees grow strong and reduce the chance of branches, or whole trees, failing in a storm.

We also give practical advice on soil health, pests and ongoing care. Looking after a significant tree protects your property value, your garden and your family.

06FAQs

Tree Surgeon questions

What should I do if my tree has a fungal infection?

Have an arborist diagnose it. Treatment may include pruning out infected wood, improving drainage and soil health, or in some cases removing the tree if decay has made it unsafe.

What is tree cabling and bracing?

Cabling and bracing use flexible cables or rods to support weak forks and heavy limbs, reducing the chance of them splitting or breaking.

What do mushrooms around the base of a tree mean?

Fungi at the base can indicate root or butt decay. It’s worth having the tree assessed, as decay isn’t always visible from outside.

Can you tell if a tree is safe?

Yes. We can inspect it, and for formal documentation provide a tree risk assessment.
