01Arborist Reports

Reports that get results

An arborist report is usually needed to support an application to remove or prune a protected tree, or to show council how trees will be managed on a development site. A good report can be the difference between approval and refusal.

Our consulting arborists hold a minimum AQF Level 5 qualification and understand planning law and council processes across Cairns, Douglas, Tablelands and Cassowary Coast. We take the time to understand what you need, assess the trees properly and write a report that’s clear, defensible and fit for purpose.

We can also advise on the application itself, and liaise with council on your behalf.

06FAQs

Arborist Reports questions

When do I need an arborist report?

Usually when you want to remove or prune a protected tree, when a development may affect trees, or when you need independent evidence for a dispute, insurance claim or property sale.

Who can write an arborist report?

Councils generally require a consulting arborist with at least an AQF Level 5 qualification in arboriculture. Our consultants meet that standard.

How long does a report take?

It depends on the type of report and number of trees. We’ll give you a timeframe and fixed price when you enquire.

Can you deal with council for me?

Yes. We can lodge supporting information and liaise with council on your behalf.
