After a storm or cyclone, fallen and damaged trees are a real danger. They threaten power lines, roofs, vehicles and people, and a tree that’s only partly down is likely to fall the rest of the way without warning.

What should I do if a tree falls on my house?
Keep everyone away from the tree and any damaged area, and stay well clear of fallen power lines (call Ergon Energy on 13 16 70 for lines down). Then call our after-hours line on 0447 925 135.
Do you work after hours?

Will my insurance cover tree removal?
Many home insurance policies cover removal of a tree that has damaged your home or blocked access. We provide photos and a written quote to support your claim. Check your policy for details.
Can you remove a tree that’s already partly down?
Yes. Partly fallen trees are under tension and can move unpredictably, so they need experienced arborists. Don’t try to cut them yourself.
