Safe tree removal, start to finish
Removing a tree is one of the most dangerous jobs in arboriculture. Our qualified arborists plan every removal around the tree’s condition, what’s underneath it and how much room we have to work, then take it down in controlled sections so nothing lands where it shouldn’t.
We remove trees for homeowners, businesses, strata and property managers right across Cairns. Whether it’s a dead gum over a driveway, a fig lifting a slab or a row of trees standing in the way of a new build, we bring the right equipment for the job, from climbing gear and elevated work platforms to cranes.
We also check whether the tree is protected before we start. If it needs approval, we can prepare the arborist report and deal with council for you.

What’s included
Site assessment
We check the tree, the targets underneath, access and any power lines before we quote.
Section felling and rigging
Trees are dismantled in controlled sections and lowered on ropes when space is tight.
Crane removals
For trees over houses, pools or sheds, we work with local crane operators to lift sections out.
Dead and dangerous trees
Split, leaning, hollow or termite-damaged trees made safe and removed.
Stump options
Leave the stump, have it ground below ground level or fully extracted.
Clean-up
Branches chipped, logs removed and the area raked clean. Keep the mulch if you’d like it.
What affects the cost
Every tree removal is priced on site, because no two jobs are the same. These are the things that move the price:
- The height, spread and species of the tree
- How close it is to the house, fences, pools or power lines
- Access for machinery, or whether it needs a crane
- The tree’s condition: dead and decayed wood needs extra care
- Whether you want the stump ground and green waste removed
- Any council approval or arborist report needed

Simple, start to finish
One team handles the quote, the paperwork and the work itself, so nothing falls between the gaps.

Tree Removal questions
How much does tree removal cost in Cairns?
It depends on the tree’s size, condition and location, the access we have, and whether you want the stump and green waste taken care of. After a site visit we give you a fixed price, and that’s the price you pay.
Do I need council approval before removing a tree?
Some trees are protected by local planning rules, and the rules differ between Cairns, Douglas, Tablelands and Cassowary Coast councils. We check during the quote and, if approval is needed, can prepare the arborist report and liaise with council for you.
What if the tree is home to native wildlife?
That needs checking with council before any work is done. In rare cases, clearing that affects threatened species or ecological communities may need approval under the federal EPBC Act. We can consult with the relevant bodies on your behalf.
Can you remove a tree with no machinery access?
Yes. Our climbers can dismantle a tree by hand and lower it on ropes, and for trees over houses or pools we use a crane to lift sections out over the roof.
Will you grind the stump too?
We can. Most customers add stump grinding to the job so the area can be turfed or planted straight away.
