Clear ground for your next project
Stump removal takes the entire stump and its main roots out of the ground. It’s the right choice when you’re pouring a slab, building a pool or driveway, or need the soil free of woody material for construction.
We use excavators and our own trucks to dig out and lift even very large stumps, then backfill and level the hole so the area is ready for the next stage. We work carefully around services, fences and existing structures.
For lawns and gardens, stump grinding is usually quicker and cheaper. We’ll tell you which option makes sense for your project.

Why remove the stump?
Decaying stumps attract termites and fungi, and can cause uneven settling under slabs and paving as they rot. Taking out the whole stump removes that risk and stops regrowth for good.

Stump Removal questions
What’s the difference between stump grinding and stump removal?
Grinding cuts the stump down to below ground level and leaves the roots to break down. Removal extracts the stump and root ball entirely. Removal is best before building; grinding suits most gardens.
Can you remove very large stumps?
Yes. We use excavators and trucks to lift out large stumps, including fig and rain tree stumps.
Will you fill the hole afterwards?
Yes. We backfill and level the area so it’s safe and ready for the next stage of your project.
