Protect people and property
Falling coconuts are a real hazard across Cairns, especially along the northern beaches. A coconut dropping from the top of a tall palm can injure people and damage cars, roofs and outdoor furniture, and they fall unpredictably.
Most palms need de-nutting twice a year. We have the equipment and experience to do it safely and efficiently, removing all the nuts and flowers so new nuts won’t form for months.
While we’re up there, we check the palm for risk, so you can be confident your home or business is safe. If a palm is in the wrong place altogether, we also do palm removal.

Why de-nut?

Coconut De-Nutting questions
How often do coconut palms need de-nutting?
Most palms need de-nutting about twice a year. Removing the flowers as well as the nuts slows down new nut formation.
How dangerous are falling coconuts?
Very. A mature coconut falling from the top of a tall palm can cause serious injury and damage cars and roofs.
Can you de-nut palms before a cyclone?
Yes. It’s one of the best things you can do to prepare a property with coconut palms for cyclone season.
Do you service resorts and strata?
Yes. We set up regular de-nutting schedules for resorts, schools, strata complexes and businesses.
